There will be some of you who might accuse me of being too hard on Yahoo, and perhaps I am. But it is hard to have empathy for a company that has consistently managed to underperform. It has been losing the talent that made it great. More importantly, there seem to be very few reasons to catalyze growth and a better future at Yahoo.

Since BoomTown already translated the letter from Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to the Yahoo board, as part of its recent effort to buy Yahoo and also Google’s blog post on the issue, we could hardly pass on this latest letter from Yahoo CEO and Co-Founder Jerry Yang to the Internet portal’s employees about its rejection of Microsoft’s $41.6 billion unsolicited offer.

이런 식의 글쓰기는 참 재미있죠. 제리 양이 직원들에게 보낸 e메일에 나름대로의 행간 해석(주석)을 일일이 달아 속뜻(?)을 패러디했네요. 재미있습니다.

Moments before being ravished at the hands of Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) will have the opportunity to throw its bouquet to the bridesmaids. By tradition, the recipient of this parting shot is next in line for a merger. If Yahoo wants to exact some measure of revenge on its unsolicited suitor, it will aim for the lovely Adobe.

Yahoo told Microsoft to pony up a few more bucks if they really want the deal to go through. I hope for both Yahoo and MS that MS gets a clue. Microsoft has been hit hard in the market since the Yahoo bid with it’s stock down from $32 to $28 which is about a $30 Billion drop. The street is smart enough to know this deal is a bad deal, I hope MS gets the message. Although if I was some big fund with a bunch of Yahoo stock I’d be pushing hard for a sale, so Yahoo better get a clue about what it needs to do to stay independent. If these guys don’t get a clue Google will clean up big time.

시장은 속이지 않는다. MS 주가가 크게 떨어진 건 시장이 반대하고 있다는 증거 아니겠는다는 요점입니다.
